4. Appointments and Referrals

All specialist consultations at Windsor Street Specialist Centre require a valid referral from a general practitioner or another specialist. Referrals are typically valid for 12 months (GP referrals) or 3 months (specialist referrals) from the date of issue. It is your responsibility to ensure your referral is current at the time of your appointment.

Appointments must be booked through our reception. We reserve the right to decline or reschedule appointments at our discretion.

5. Fees and Billing

Windsor Street Specialist Centre is a private specialist practice. Consultation fees vary depending on the specialist and the nature of the consultation. Fees are payable at the time of consultation. We accept EFTPOS, credit card, and cash.

Medicare rebates are available for most specialist consultations where a valid referral is held. The applicable Medicare rebate will be applied to your account. Any gap between the consultation fee and the Medicare rebate is your responsibility.

If you hold private health insurance with hospital cover, this may assist with costs associated with procedures performed in a private hospital. Please check with your insurer regarding your level of cover prior to any procedure.

6. Cancellations and No-Shows

If you are unable to attend your appointment, please notify our reception as soon as possible. We request at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations where possible. Repeated failure to attend or late cancellations may result in a cancellation fee at the discretion of the practice.
